Thermedical® is developing a proprietary thermal ablation therapy that can treat significantly larger tissue volumes using a single device than conventional technology. 

 

The Company is focused on the treatment and cure of Ventricular Tachycardia (VT), an irregular heartbeat that can lead to sudden cardiac arrest, and the treatment of soft tissue conditions. Both of these disease states require a tool that can predictably and efficiently ablate a much larger volume of tissue than conventional technology.  

 

Our Thermedical Ablation System employs Saline-Enhanced Radio Frequency (SERF) energy to overcome the challenges of traditional ablation tools and to treat large volumes of tissue in a more efficient manner. The Thermedical Ablation System and Needle is 510(k) cleared for the coagulation and ablation of soft tissue during percutaneous, laparoscopic and intraoperative surgical procedures. 

 

The Company is currently developing a smaller catheter-based delivery system, Durablate™, that is designed specifically for the treatment of VT.

The Thermedical® Ablation System is 510(k) cleared for the coagulation and ablation of soft tissue during percutaneous, laparoscopic and intraoperative surgical procedures.  Use of the Thermedical Ablation System for any specific soft tissue indication has not been evaluated or approved by the US FDA.

Use of the Thermedical Ablation System for the treatment of VT is investigational and is not approved for use or sale in any market.
