Thermedical Awarded
$3 Million NIH Grant for VT Treatment Study

Thermedical® is developing a proprietary thermal ablation therapy that can treat significantly larger tissue volumes with a single device than conventional tools

the Company is initially focused on the treatment and cure of Ventricular Tachycardia (VT) and Soft tissue conditions

Corporate Overview

Regulatory Status

Thermedical is a private medical device company that has leveraged its competency in biologic heat transfer to take a revolutionary approach to RF tissue ablation.  The Company's Thermedical Ablation System, using Saline-Enhanced Radio Frequency (SERF) energy, has been designed to overcome the challenges of traditional ablation tools and to create large lesions that are required to treat certain medical conditions.  Thermedical is focused on the treatment and cure of Ventricular Tachycardia (VT), an irregular heartbeat that can lead to sudden cardiac arrest, and the treatment of soft tissue conditions, including potentially liver, kidney, lung and uterine tumors.

The Thermedical Ablation System is 510(k) cleared for the coagulation and ablation of soft tissue during percutaneous, laparoscopic and intraoperative surgical procedures.

The use of the Thermedical Ablation System for any specific soft tissue indication has not been evaluated or approved by the US FDA.

Use of the Thermedical Ablation System for the treatment of VT is investigational. and is not approved for use or sale in any market.

BENEFITS OF SERF TECHNOLOGY

The Thermedical Ablation System utilizes

SERF energy to optimize tissue ablation

Ventricular Tachycardia

  • Creates durable, transmural lesions which could prevent VT recurrence

  • Aims to treat the underlying disease, not just the symptoms

  • Enables physicians to use standard, endocardial approach

  • Is designed to result in a shorter, less complicated procedure, which can increase safety

Soft Tissue Conditions

  • Is designed to create lesions greater than 5cm in diameter with a single device

  • Has predictable ablation zone with sharp transition between treated and untreated tissue

  • Creates controlled, symmetrical lesions

  • Is designed to result in a shorter, less complicated procedure, which can increase safety
